The Saborno Sangrahalay

Established in 1999 by the Savarna Ray Chaudhuri family of Kolkata, THE SABORNO SANGRAHALAY (also spelt as 'The Savarna Sangrahalay') is a ‘Sanatana Samskriti Samsthan’ dedicated to the understanding of the quintessence of Indianness and our way(s) of life. The objectives of the Samsthan will be to aid the academic corpus to develop an India-centric pedagogy and an indigenous perspective on historical, cultural and civilization studies, as also strategic studies, apart from developing a platform for practicing religion and rituals. This, we believe, will contribute to a rethinking on contemporary Indian polity, and policy and debate structures.

The Saborno Sangrahalay is registered as a Society under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act 1961, and is recognised as a Charitable Institution u/s 12A of the Income Tax Act 1961. It is also recognised as a publishing unit by the Raja Ram Mohun Ray National Agency for the ISBN, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi.

Donations made to The Saborno Sangrahalay by Indian Citizens are exempted from Income Tax u/s 80G(5)(vi) of the Income Tax Act 1961.
